About the event
Changing a person's mind starts with curiosity about what other people think. Deep canvassing is the art of engaging with voters through meaningful conversations about the issues that matter to them.
Our goal is to expand the depth and breath of our volunteer pool in Colonial Heights! We hope you will join us on April 19 to speak with voters about their experiences, how those experiences impact their opinions, and what would move them to action.
This canvass is different from a traditional canvass, when the mission is to deliver a message. There will be a script, but it will serve mainly as a discussion prompt. You will receive the script and supporting materials a few days before the canvass. We've planned on extra time for a training the day of the canvass (12:30 to 2:00), before we head out to canvass (2:00 to 4:30).
